Convention Highlights

Workshop Sessions:
● Spirituality – Praying the Liturgy of the Hours with Judith Malachowski & Walking with Purpose presented by Kathy Hampton.
● Service – Information on service opportunities & tips on coordinating service projects, Q&A and a presentation from Pregnancy Aid Center, includes an AACCW baby shower drive.
● Peace & Justice Workshop – Presentation by Amilcar Valencia, Executive Director, El Refugio. El Refugio is assisting detained immigrants and their families.
● AACCW 101 – All about the Atlanta Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (AACCW) organization and our affiliates.
● Leadership – Actionable ways to be a good leader as we “Open the Eyes of our Hearts” to all around us.
● Grief Workshop – learn to recognize the signs of grief, understand the process of healing, and explore tools to navigate life's unexpected twists and turns.
● End of Life Planning – Getting all your ducks in a row so that your family can mourn without frustration. 
Special Guests
Yolanda Munoz, of the Atlanta Archdiocese Office of Hispanic and Latino Ministry is our Saturday lunch speaker. Yolanda will speak about the work plan, ministries, educational and advocacy resources of the Hispanic and Latino Ministry. We are blessed to have a speaker from the Catholic Mobilizing Network (CMN) on Saturday evening. CMN mobilizes Catholics and works tirelessly to end the death penalty and build support and capacity for restorative justice practices. For our Sunday Luncheon Donna Brisse, Atlanta Magnificat Chapter Coordinator, will speak about the Magnificat Ministry and how to get involved. Thom and Mary Miller will also speak about the Cursillo Movement.

The Pregnancy Aid Center (PAC) is also in need of car seats for newborns. PAC has an avenue for you to purchase new car seats at a discounted price ($40.34). If you would like to purchase a car seat for this discounted price or prefer to donate money instead of bringing items, please take this link.

2. Catholic Charities Atlanta (Saturday Mass Collection) - Catholic Charities Atlanta provides supportive services that enable families to overcome barriers and achieve self-sufficiency. 

3. We will have a 50/50 Cash Drawing, if you would like to participate this year bring cash! The winner will receive 50% of the cash collected and the other half will go to our AACCW convention fund to help cover convention costs.
